Day 1: Arrival - Hanoi
Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, Viet Bamboo Travel’s driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - Lao Cai (B, L) - by night train
You are met at 08:30 in the hotel lobby. There is a morning and afternoon schedule, as well as an organised lunch. Morning: We will visit: Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum, The Temple of Literature, A local Vietnamese lunch. Afternoon: A traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppet, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake, A one-hour cyclo tour through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter - a must for any visitor to Hanoi! Bạk to hotel for relax. 19:45 Our guide will pick you up to the rail station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.
Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L)
After meeting a guide at the Lao Cai railway station, drive to Sapa. Have breakfast and then start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigio blue clothing. After this you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are build of wood and bamboo with a clay floor.Overnight in Sapa.
Day 4: Sapa - Bac Ha Market - Sapa (B, L)
After the breakfast, we go to the Bac Ha market for two hours by a private car (AC). This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. In the afternoon we will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people).In the village we can have a look in their house and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs. Especially, we can try homemade wine from corn. Then transfer back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 5: Sapa - Giang Ta Chai - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B, L) - by night train
After the breakfast we continue to visit Red Dzao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colourful red embroideryand coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend. We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su pan. And then transfer to the station in Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi at 20:15, arrive around 05:00. Overnight on train.
Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
07:30 - 07:45 Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong Bay. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta.
10:30 Stopover on the way for short break.
12:30 Arrive at Hon Gai wharf - Meet the captain, crews and join us for a welcome drink, cruise briefing, safety instructions and check-in cabins.
13:00 Lunch with fresh seafood is served while cruising towards Vong Vieng floating village, passing through extraordinary shaped-islands.
15:30 Drop anchor at Vong Vieng: visit local houses, fish farm, schools and have a chat with the friendly fish men. (You also swim here if you like) The other option is to travel by kayak (passenger row kayaks for themselves). The kayaking option is $10.00 per person unless pre-booked.
17:00 Back on board, enjoy the sunset and continue cruising to Luom Bo for anchoring.
19:00 Dinner is served.
21:00 Enjoy the comfort in your cabin or night fishing… Overnight on boat.
Day 7: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An (BR) - by flight
06:30 Enjoy the bay’s morning landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.
07:30 Lightly breakfast is served.
08:30 Explore the mystery of Sung Sot cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay.
09:30 Back on board, continue cruising, enjoy the stunning views of the Bay and relax.
10:30 Lunch is served on board while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier.
12:00 Arrive Hon Gai wharf. Farewell.
12:30 Return from Halong to Hanoi.
14:30 Stop-over in Dong Trieu town to visit a ceramics workshop.
16:30 Arrive in Hanoi.
17:45 Our driver will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Da Nang (VN 1523 - 20:00 - 21:15). Check in hotel in Hoi An upon arrival. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An - Tra Que Village - Hoi An (B, L) - Joining tour
08:00 Viet Bamboo Travel’s local guide will see you at your hotel with your bicycle. you will cycle to a local farm in Tra Que village. A short stroll will take you around the vegetable garden and then you can join the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from thelocal lake. following steps are raking the ground, sowing, watering, picking vegetables and many other gardening activities. after all these activities, you will take a short rest and enjoy foot bath before getting to preparing lunch with a local family. Your lunch will consist of many local delicacies including ‘tam huu’ spring roll, Banh xeo or local pancake of people in vietnam middle region. you can join the cooking with the chef on these meals. After your morning excurtions and your lunch, you will take a vietnamese traditional post-prandial nap before learning how to harvest and wrap the vegetables. Around 14.00: bid farewell to your host family before riding back to Hoi An, on the way back we will stop at Japanese tomb. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 9: Hoi An (B)

Day 10: Hoi An - Da Nang - Nha Trang (B) - by flight
Transfer to the airport in Da Nang for flight to Nha Trang (VN 1941 - 14:10 - 15:35). Upon arriving at the airport, our driver will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 11: Nha Trang (B)
Free and easy in Nha Trang. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 12: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City - Mui Ne (B) - by flight
Transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City (VN 1351 - 07:45 - 08:40). Upon arriving at the airport, VBT’s driver will transfer you to Mui Ne. Overnight in Mui Ne.
Day 13: Mui Ne (B)

Day 14: Mui Ne - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
After breakfast, you will be free until our driver will pick you up to Ho Chi Minh city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho (B, L)
08:00 Pick up at the hotel and drive to Mekong Delta. Arrival in Caibe town, you will be on board at the tourist boat station in Cai Be. Enjoying the fresh air and peaceful relaxation, you visit the floating market - the original style of commerce on the Mekong river’s basin, and are dizzy of hundred boats on the river. Visiting the local pop rice, rice paper workshop, the tourist do not only know how to make cakes but also try on and taste the warm one right after processing by the breezy river bank. Crossing the Mekong River to the island, being along the canals to see many activities of the local fishing and the friendly waving and smiles. Visiting Mr Cai Cuong’s ancient house - landlord’s one in the past, farming tool display, rice planting line- the miniature pictures of the Mekong delta. A cup of tea, some of the local tropical fruits and listening to the traditional music is the best chance for relaxation. Then have lunch and relax. After that Bicycle on the village paths under the foliages about 1.5hours, then boating to visit an orchards or a nursery garden where the tourist taste the tropical fresh fruits and the local fruit fermented wine. Back to Vinh Long where our van waiting for us to Can Tho, the head city of Mekong Detal. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 16: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Make an early start cruising on a small, motorized boat toward the biggest and most colorful floating market of Cai Rang. There, hundreds of boats jostle to sell their wares loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish, with some boats selling noodle soup, coffee and soft drinks for shoppers. Later, visit a lush fruit orchard, where you can relish delicious tropical fruits and take the opportunity to interact with local people. Then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 17: Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
08:00 Pick you up at hotel. Transfer to the Cu Chi Tunnels (75 km from downtown). Visit Cu Chi tunnels with watching documentary film, witness hand-made weapon gallery (gun, land mine, bamboo traps,…), crawl into the real tunnels,… Back to Ho Chi Minh city. Have lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Former Presidential Palace, the War Crime Museum, the central complex of architecture: the Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, the Municipal Theater. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 18: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (B)
Free and easy for a walking in the city until transferred to the airport for your flight. End of services.
