Option 1:
You are met at 08:30 am in the hotel lobby. There is a morning and afternoon schedule:
Morning:
- Ho Chi Minh Complex including his former stilt–house residence, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
- The Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070
Afternoon:
- Hanoi Hilton museum (Hoa Lo prison)
- Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake – the Ngoc Son Temple is set on a tiny island on Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century.
- A one–hour cyclo tour through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter – a must for any visitor to Hanoi! Free for shopping time in Dong Xuan Market – one of biggest old market in Hanoi where you can buy some souvenirs. (Please note: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed all day on Monday and Fridays, as well as from 1st October to 30th November (approx.) for annual conservation.)
Option 2:
Breakfast at hotel. You will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and during the months of September and October) and his former residence (closed on Monday and Friday), One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam. It was built more than 1,000 years ago. After that walk to visit Hanoi Hilton Historic was a prison used by the French colonists in Vietnam for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for prisoners of war during the Vietnam War when it was sarcastically known to American prisoners of war as the "Hanoi Hilton". The prison was demolished during the 1990s, though the gatehouse remains as a museum.
You will continue visit West Lake. With a shore length of 17 km (about 10.6 miles), this is the largest lake of the capital and a popular place for recreation with many surrounding gardens, hotels and villas. Continue visit Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda. Free for shopping time in Dong Xuan Market – one of biggest old market in Hanoi where you can buy some souvenirs.
