Day 1: Arrival - Ho Chi Minh City (L)
Upon arrival in Tan Son Nhat airport, your guide will pick you up for the half day tour. We will visit: The Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office.Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 2: Mighty Mekong Delta (B, L)
Heading out of the town, we travel by roads to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s largest rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho, we embark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. The exciting excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving at the famous Unicorn Island. Here we have opportunities to stroll around an orchard, taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy wonderful traditional music. The next stop of our trip is Ben Tre Province to visit some fascinating local industries. After feasting on a huge lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping off along the way to see the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda and the Cho Lon, Saigon’s Chinatown, which is crammed with sacred temples and mysterious, narrow lanes. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Hoi An (B, L) - by flight
08:00 Pick you up at hotel. Transfer to the Cu Chi Tunnels (75 km from downtown). Visit Cu Chi tunnels with watching documentary film, witness hand-made weapon gallery (gun, land mine, bamboo traps,…), crawl into the real tunnels,… Back to Ho Chi Minh city. Have lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for the short flight to Da Nang. On arrival, you will be met at the airport for transfer to your hotel in Hoi An and then the evening is free. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 4: Hoi An City Tour (B, L)
In the morning, enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow, lively streets of the ancient town, visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house, the Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful local market. After that, take a short boat ride across the Thu Bon river to a nearby island to visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics and boat building yards where the craftsmen still hew the boats into life much as they have done for centuries. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hanoi City Tour (B, L) - by flight
Morning: After breakfast, we aboard a short flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to hotel. We will visit: The Temple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070, A local Vietnamese lunch. Afternoon: Museum of Ethnology, widely acknowledged as the best in the country, containing an extensive display of life-size structures dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority peoples; Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake - the Ngoc Son Temple is set on a tiny island on Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century; A one-hour cyclo tour through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter - a must for any visitor to Hanoi; A traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppets. You will finish city tour round 18:00 pm. Come back hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L)
07:30 - 07:45 Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong Bay. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. 10:30 Stopover on the way for short break 12:30 Arrive at Hon Gai wharf - Meet the captain, crews and join us for a welcome drink, cruise briefing, safety instructions and check-in cabins. 13:00 Lunch with fresh seafood is served while cruising towards Vong Vieng floating village, passing through extraordinary shaped-islands. 15:30 Drop anchor at Vong Vieng: visit local houses, fish farm, schools and have a chat with the friendly fish men. (You also swim here if you like) The other option is to travel by kayak (passenger row kayaks for themselves). The kayaking option is $10.00 per person unless pre-booked. 17:00 Back on board, enjoy the sunset and continue cruising to Luom Bo for anchoring. 19:00 Dinner is served. 21:00 Enjoy the comfort in your cabin or night fishing… Overnight on junk.
Day 7: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Departure (B)
06:30 Enjoy the bay’s morning landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. 07:30 Lightly breakfast is served. 08:30 Explore the mystery of Sung Sot cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. 09:30 Back on board, continue cruising, enjoy the stunning views of the Bay and relax. 10:30 Lunch is served on board while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier. 11:30 Check-out. 12:00 Arrive Hon Gai wharf. Farewell. 12:30 Return from Halong to Hanoi. 14:30 Stop-over in Dong Trieu town to visit a ceramics workshop. 16:30 Arrive in Hanoi. In late afternoon, we will transfer you to the airport for the international flight. End of services.
